Stow Judo News – January 2020

Hello all and welcome to my second attempt at a newsletter to bring you up to date with competitions, things you may not be aware of behind the scenes and club information.

Some good news – numbers are encouraging on the second session – we would love to also see an increase in numbers on the first – so please invite family and friends all welcome – If you want flyers I have plenty – Please ask !!

We are still actively seeking donations to replace the mats – We received a very kind donation over Christmas from the Arnold Page High 12 Club’ of £450 of which Wayne had to attend their Christmas Lunch to receive donation.

Suits – we have a good deal with Dan-rho judo, we can supply excellent quality suits at a discounted retail price – Please see Wayne for more info or questions.

Clothing – we are working on some Stowmarket Judo Club sportswear, which will be available to order online – hoodies, T-shirts etc. – more details will be made available as soon as we know.

Fund Raising – we as a club have written to a few local businesses in and around Stowmarket asking for charitable donations as we are looking to raise funds to hopefully replace our mats in the next few years. We have had over £500 donated to us so far – there is still a long way to go to reach the amount required – any help from anyone or any business is always welcome, and we are very grateful.

This year’s Grading dates 20th February, 24th September & 26th November I may do another grading before summer break for those who want, or I think are ready. Please make sure you know what need for your grading- any question please ask a coach
